Hey how's first week of school? How do you find the courses you are taking so far? What about the professors. Do you get some really great professors this term?

I was taking 6 courses but just decided to drop one this morning and I did. I knew it's impossible to handle 6 courses on top of job hunting for next coop term, CCF serving and so forth. Plus, I want to have a life and enjoy my life. This is also God's will for everyone. I think God wants us all to enjoy the lives He gave us. haha... It's important to have a balance life. It's also difficult to do. How to have balance life? I think that's something we all need to keep on exploring. But, maybe to really understand what's important to you and what you value, then to prioritize your things at hand can lead you to a balance life. That's something I learned from a time management workshop.

If you think the courses you are taking this term are indeed too much. Don't hesitate to drop one of them. That not only help reduce stress but also give you time and energy to excel at the other courses. I dropped the Computer Networking course which is programming intensive. Though I already found it so interesting in the first class, I decided to drop it. Well, I can always take it later. Now, I am having 5 courses and I want to do my best in each of them. =P

As said in today's CCF gathering. Here's the link about setting SMART Goals Thanks Vivian for finding it for us. =) Hope that everyone find it helpful in making your new year's resolutions and setting your goals for 2007. Add oil!

Roson, I agree with everything you said except to live a balanced life. I think to pursue a balanced life is to live in mediocrity. Remember the public lecture by R.P. Stevens we attended at Regent? Yeah thats what I am talking about...

on a second thought, I think I should be more constructive.

What, if not a balanced life?
A disciplined life. This is a challenge I am facing right now when I am on coop!! Not much work to do after I am off --- What do I do with my time? Suddenly I have way more money than before --- What do I do with it? To quote Stevens, "even Jesus did not live a balanced life".
